FAQ

I. Product & Materials

Q1: What raw materials are used in your furniture?

A: We specialize in solid wood furniture, primarily using oak, pine, and walnut. Auxiliary panels utilize E0-grade eco-friendly MDF or plywood. Upholstery options include teddy fleece, linen, and technical fabric. All materials meet European and American environmental standards, and material testing reports can be provided for customs clearance.

Q2: Are color variations and differences in wood grain in solid wood furniture considered quality defects?

A: Natural solid wood varies in grain, knots, and color depth from board to board; these are inherent characteristics of natural wood, not manufacturing defects. Lighting and screen displays may also cause slight color variations. Before ordering, you can request unfiltered factory photos and videos to verify the style and texture.

Q3: Can the furniture be placed outdoors? How water-resistant is it?

A: Standard indoor furniture features a wood wax oil finish that protects against daily spills but is not suitable for prolonged exposure to rain or direct sunlight. For outdoor use, we offer custom-made, weather-resistant teak models; please discuss customization specifications with our sales team in advance.

Q4: Do you support customization of dimensions, colors, fabrics, and packaging? What are the minimum order requirements?

A: We support comprehensive customization (dimensions, wood finish, fabric, hardware, and custom logo printing on packaging). The minimum order quantity (MOQ) is 50 units per model, with priority given to mixed-item orders filling a 40-foot high-cube (40HQ) container. Small-batch orders are not eligible for customization and are limited to existing standard stock models.

II. Dimensions, Samples & Prototyping

Q1: Where can I view standard product dimensions? Can you provide a dimension chart?

A: Product detail pages list dimensions in both centimeters and inches. You can contact our sales team to obtain a comprehensive Excel spreadsheet containing dimensions and pricing for all products. Custom models can be adjusted in length, width, and height to suit specific floor plans or warehouse requirements.

Q2: Can I request a sample to verify quality first? How are sample costs calculated?

A: We support sample production; the buyer covers the sample cost and shipping fees. If a subsequent order for a full 40HQ container is placed, the sample cost can be refunded on a pro-rata basis. The lead time for samples is 7–12 working days.

Q3: Is the furniture shipped fully assembled or in flat-pack (disassembled) form? Is it easy to load into containers?

A: All items use KD (Knock-Down) flat-pack packaging to maximize container space and are designed for full 40HQ high-cube container loading. Our team will provide a professional loading plan based on your selected models to maximize capacity utilization and reduce unit logistics costs.

III. Wholesale Orders, MOQs, and Containers

Q1: What is your Minimum Order Quantity (MOQ)? Do you support mixed-item container loading? Which container type do you primarily use?

A: The MOQ is 50 pieces per model. We support shipping full 40-foot high-cube (40HQ) containers with mixed models, which is our standard shipping method. We do not accept small loose orders or partial loads for 20GP containers; however, arrangements for 20-foot containers can be negotiated for long-term, stable key accounts.

Q2: Approximately how many pieces of furniture fit into a 40HQ high-cube container?

A: It varies by model size: a single container can hold 300–600 small chairs or stools, or 80–150 sets of larger items like beds or dining tables. We provide a precise packing list and volume calculation sheet free of charge after the order is placed.

Q3: What are the production lead times for custom orders versus in-stock orders?

A: Standard in-stock models: Ready for container loading 7–10 working days after payment confirmation. Fully customized models (modifications to size, fabric, or craftsmanship): 15–25 working days; orders for full 40HQ containers receive production priority.

IV. Payment, Quotation, and Cooperation Models

Q1: What payment methods are accepted for wholesale orders?

A: Factory wholesale orders require T/T bank transfer: a 30% deposit is required to schedule production, and the balance is due upon presentation of the Bill of Lading copy before the shipment is released. Flexible payment terms may be negotiated for long-term, high-quality clients.

Q2: Can you provide FOB factory prices or FOB port prices?

A: The default quote is FOB (Ex-Works); if FOB at a specific port is required, please provide the destination port so we can calculate drayage and customs clearance costs and provide a comprehensive quote. Tiered discounts are available for full 40HQ container orders.

Q3: Do the quotes include costs for custom logos or color box packaging?

A: Standard kraft paper packaging is free. For custom color boxes or branded logo printing, partial plate-making fees may be waived for orders meeting the 40HQ full-container minimum; please consult our sales team for specific calculations.

V. Logistics and 40HQ Full Container Shipping

Q1: Which ports are used for shipment? What is the transit time for full container shipments?

A: We ship from major domestic ports (Qingdao) and can assist with arranging drayage, customs declaration, and booking. Sea freight transit times vary by destination: 28–45 days for Europe/US routes and 7–18 days for Southeast Asia. We provide the full Bill of Lading, packing list, and customs clearance documents after shipment.

Q2: Do 40HQ full container orders include customs declaration and documentation fees?

A: FOB quotes exclude ocean freight and destination port tariffs; however, local factory drayage, customs declaration, and clearance documentation (packing list, invoice, Certificate of Origin) are provided free of charge.

Q3: What happens if goods are damaged upon arrival?

A: Before leaving the factory, each product is protected with thickened foam and five-layer corrugated cardboard boxes, and the container loading process is fully documented with photos. If photographic evidence of the damage and the condition of the outer packaging is provided within 48 hours of receipt, we will provide free replacement parts or negotiate compensation via an order deduction.

VI. After-sales Warranty and Returns/Exchanges Wholesale Orders Only

Q1: What is the warranty period for bulk wholesale orders?

A: There is a one-year warranty on solid wood frames and load-bearing structures, as well as on upholstery, foam, and hardware accessories. Free replacement parts are provided only for defects in factory workmanship; damage caused by user error or during shipping is not covered by the free warranty.

Q2: Can custom items or full container orders be returned without a specific reason?

A: Orders for in-stock items that have not yet been containerized may be cancelled upon payment of a penalty fee. Custom-made items and orders for full 40HQ containers that have already been loaded are non-returnable and non-exchangeable; to prevent discrepancies, we provide drawings, color swatches, and samples for confirmation prior to production.

VII. Furniture Care Tips

Q1: How do I clean and maintain solid wood furniture?

Wipe away surface dust with a soft, dry cloth. For stains, wipe gently with a cloth slightly dampened with a neutral cleaner and dry immediately. Do not use highly corrosive cleaners such as alcohol or bleach; keep away from heat sources and direct sunlight to prevent the wood from cracking or warping.

Q2: How do I maintain upholstered furniture?

Regularly remove surface dust with a vacuum cleaner. Gently clean localized stains using a cleaner specifically designed for upholstery. Keep sharp objects away from the fabric to prevent snagging or tearing.

VIII. Wholesale Partnership Inquiries

Q1: How can I initiate wholesale business and get a quote for a full 40HQ container?

Email your requirements (target market, desired styles, customization needs, and destination port) to sales12@greenforestcn.com. We will provide a comprehensive quote, container loading plan, and product catalog within one business day.

Q2: Are there additional support policies for wholesale partners?

Clients who place consistent, recurring orders for full 40HQ containers are eligible for support policies such as annual tiered price reductions, free prototyping for new models, priority production scheduling, and complimentary brand packaging design.
